Wendy Senk

World Famous Taxidermist
Milwalkee Museum

Wendy got her first bow and arrow when she was 5 year old.  At age 13, she took up a Bear recurve and taught herself to bowhunt.  At age 19 she harvested her first bowkill whitetail. Over the years her bow of choice has changed and she now shoots a Hoyt Protec.  She has harvested over 40 big game animals with archery equipment including whitetail, mule deer, antelope, bear, and elk.  Her favorite hunting is bowhunting elk and she is a self proclaimed elkaholic.

Her life’s passion is and always will be wildlife.  She began doing taxidermy at age 12.  At age 15 she began working for a commercial taxidermist and competing and winning many National taxidermy competitions.  At age 18 she started working as a taxidermist/artist at a large Natural History Museum where she continues to work today.

Wendy has been fortunate to hunt and enjoy the beauty of more than 12 states, several Canadian provinces, multiple trips to Africa, Costa Rica, and Mexico.  Her next big planned trip is a bowhunt to Namibia and hopefully elk hunting in New Mexico.

She and her husband Garry travel and hunt together and they have filmed most of their hunts over the years.
